A friend of mine named Betty Jiang did a quick render of my character bust to show me how she would light the form and render the skin etc. very eye opening this is her render. Below is my paint over of her paintover. using her light source and materials as a guide to push the believabilty of the toony character. I brought back some of the character's iconic elements that were illustrated in the previous versions as well.
